zombie rabbits!

Hooray, Vern and Lettuce have a cover for the DFC! I was a bit of a control freak and did a lot of the lettering, too.

My lovely Camberwell classmate Mark Oliver has finally sorted out his website, some cool drawings here.

Woodrow Phoenix mentioned an upcoming festival at the Barbican for the 'God of Manga' Osamu Tezuka: Movies into Manga, 18 - 24 Sept, should be good.

And I've just booked my ticket to see Fear(s) of the Dark at the ICA: Paul Gravett introduces a special screening of this cartoon creepshow: a haunting animated anthology of stories from different directors working in various vivid styles, including one tale written and animated by the great graphic-novel artist Charles Burns (Black Hole, Big Baby).
Dir Blutch, Charles Burns, Marie Caillou, Pierre di Sciullo, Lorenzo Mattotti, Richard McGuire, France 2007, 82 mins, subtitles

...Let me know if you're coming and I'll look out for you!

Edit: I'm also going to try to swing by at the end of London Underground Comics' Low Energy Day at Camden Market on Saturday. Which is kind of an odd name for it, because so many comics people are scurrying around like mad trying to get their stuff printed in time.

It was lovely seeing it come out of the envelope! And it's all the better for your lettering!

Thanks so much! I put on your interview the other day while I was working, it was funny hearing you talk about jammie dodgers and stuff. I think that is the longest interview I've ever listened to, you charmed the socks off those giggling gals.

Hey Sarah,
Wow! Looks awesome.
Somehow this is the only DFC we have NOT received on time! How is that possible? I can't wait to look at this up close!
Saw your email about the 8th, btw...we'll book up our places asap.
See you soon!

Hello Sarah,

Great front cover. Sorry we couldn't leave a message earlier but we were all on our holidays in dry warm sunny Spain. We did manage to take a peak at the DFC website while on holiday and saw your front cover and the boys were very excited. The first thing they did when we got home at 4am was to open up the DFC and start reading it!!
