more time to read

Isn't this fabulous? My embedded Swiss reporter friend David Barnes just sent this photo of a window he passed while strolling this morning through Bern.

It says "more time to read".

Cool! I'd put it in the post title, but I'm not sure it was all that clear it was a translation. :-)

I wonder whose work it is, it's lovely.

Oh, cool! I thought at first you meant Neal Layton, but now I see I have a whole other world in need of exploring! :-D

That's lovely! I love good window displays.

did you ever see this display by a canadian comics illustrator?

It seems to take forever to load some of the pics on the page, but I thought it was brilliant.

More Time To Read indeed... With all the work and comics needing dong in the run up to Christmas te chance to get some reading done would be a fine thing. Sadly it's currently relegated to bedtime.

Still, it's a nice image and conveys that cosy vibe that only reading in autumn can provide.

Gosh, I used to read in bed all the time, never seem to do that anymore. Most of my reading seems to be snatched moments standing up in bookshops. Hmm. I've been riding my bike everywhere so I haven't even really had much bus reading time. Lame!

Awesome seeing you today, Sarah!
I would put 10 p on it being by Ulf K, fantastic German cartoonist.
But his website (the one that comes up as the first google result, anyway), is a horror....how will I ever win my money?
Here's his Lambiek page, anyhow...

Hey Ellen, thanks very much for that link!! I've been looking him up and I SO dig his artwork! Wow.

And thanks for coming on the run, that was fun. We must draw a group picture of that some time, the shopping stops were too funny. But my legs are SO sore this morning. :-P
