little tree

I finally made a comic that was short enough to finish. I kind of like it.

Ooh, it's so pretty....I love the way the smaller, silent panels wedge in between the fatter dialogue panels...it's really sweet and the colors are very easy on the eye. I like it.

Thanks, Ellen! It's great to get feedback! I'm trying to get a sort of linocut look on the computer, without having to do all the scraping. I think it kind of worked. And it let me play around with the panels a lot more than hand-drawn.

Oh, it's adorable!!! So sweet!!! And yet so sad... The tree has something of a look of traditional Japanese art, but the bird is all your own! Love the way you use the white of his/her face toshow him in three-quarter view in one panel.
So, what's happening here? I get the impression from your replies above that this is done entirely on a computer? I'm intrigued...

Short enough to finish. Now, *there's* a lesson...

Nice & bittersweet. Do more comics if you get the notion!

I'm wishing this was a wintery blue instead of red. But I can live with red.

Thanks, David! I always seem to start with red (just because I like red). But I think I should experiment with a few different color schemes, including wintery blue.
