crystal palace festival

Here's the official poster for this sure-to-be-exciting writer-illustrator-led event, organised by the remarkable Alex Milway. Garen Ewing drew the dinosaur on the mast, based on one of our local dinosaurs, which are really quite famous and why haven't I been to see them yet? Probably because Crystal Palace is uphill on my bicycle and I am very lazy. (Note to self: that is a very poor excuse.)

Remarkable fact I learned from Alex the other day; Darwin's ten-year-old daughter Annie died in Alex's grandmother's house. This is the same grandmother whom Edward Elgar used to bounce on his knee, that woman knew people.

You should see the dinosaurs, they are funny. But even funnier is the small boys having a tantrum in the cafe just across the park. Not sure if they'll still be there though.

I saw an Almighty Meltdown in the cleaning supplies aisle of Sainsburys last week, maybe it was the same little guys. Their dad was about two second away from having his own meltdown, it was something to behold, quite fearsome.
