temporary flailing

Confession time: today was not a good day. I kept maniacally busy, but I was feeling totally overwhelmed by everything. Then my agent sent a helpful e-mail and I went and lay down on the ground and stared at the sky for awhile and things sorted themselves out. So I made the first drawing when I was feeling terrible, and the second drawing when I was able to laugh at myself a bit more.

I love these. I feel like that when I'm stressed and depressed. I think I might try lying in a field next time.

That's a great looking flail. Glad to know that it's being left behind though.

I'm sorry to hear you had a tough day. Glad you're over the worst of it.

Now if only all of us could turn our bad days into quality artwork!

Sometimes stopping and just looking up can make a great difference but you have to lay down, just standing and looking up is not the same. Best to lay on grass too.
I do love your pictures. I am glad I found you through Marc Ellerby's livejournal.
I hope tomorrow is less overwhelming :)

It looks as though you may have been temporarily zombified. Try to walk it off.

I will try walking it off in the brains section of Tesco.

speed bump
It's strange to see you deterred by anything for any length of time. I imagine you as being pretty much unstoppable. Well, it's good to know you're human like the rest of us. But you're very talented, and I don't imagine any setback setting you back for very long.
