masked adventures in comics... sunday!

I've been thinking of ways to tie in the amazing HyperComics exhibition with Saturday's family workshop, and just made three sample mini comic covers with characters in masks. (See photos of Dave McKean's masks at the exhibition.) Just making the covers makes me think of loads of things that could happen inside, and I bet the kids are going to come up with some cracking stories. And that's just one of the things you can do in the workshop, I also have some ideas about how to tie in Daniel Merlin Goodbrey's 'choose-your-own-adventure' comics. And possibly even a comics jam session!

If you have kids and are in London, book now for Sunday's HyperComics workshop at the Pumphouse Gallery in Battersea Park, 1:30-3:30. I think there might still be some places left: details here. Let's push some comics boundaries!
