vern and lettuce on holiday

Oh my goodness, getting all our gear to Alexandra Palace today for the Knitting & Stitching Show was a total slapstick comedy disaster, and we only managed to arrive 15 minutes before closing time. Then I raced down to Islington for dinner with one of my absolute best childhood friends that I hadn't seen in something like 15 years. Now I'm almost incoherent with tiredness, but I just checked my e-mail before bed and found this fabulous Vern and Lettuce page for The Pickle from the amazing Emma, who lives in Paris. (She makes another appearance in this post about the Cartoon Museum.)

I might not be able to blog for a few days, so I thought I'd leave Vern and Lettuce to keep you company:

You rock, Emma!

Watching Gina McKee read your book! Man, I love Gina McKee! Also, I had no idea about this book. Your drawings are fucking great!

Aw, thanks, James! Yes, the BBC have run that reading 4 times now, which is exciting. And yes, Emma's great at drawing!

Thanks Sarah, Emma was so chuffed this morning when I showed her this page. She went of to school dreamily muttering 'I think she likes me'. Ha ha.
