I've been putting together my portfolio and realised I didn't have enough pictures of children and animals (things picture book editors will want to see). So I've come up with a few quick things. I've been playing with this bear image, trying it a couple different ways, but I'm not sure it's working yet. The orange one looks almost better as a t-shirt than as an image on paper, maybe I'll submit it to Threadless.
Our class is meeting up with Andrew Foster this afternoon to go see Central Saint Martins' MA illustration show. All our stuff is due for the examiner next week.

Nice! I definitely think the not-orange version is the stronger. And I'm delighted to see some shadows! I've been wondering whether shading would sit well with the particular style in which you've been working. And it does!!! So as far as I'm concerned, you've taken the final step to perfection! :) :) :)
Can hardly wait to see the degree show. Best of all luck with the preparations.
(Although I suspect luck will have little to do with it, seeing as you're a bona fide genius!)

I like the second one, it's more clear, bright, and printable.

Hi sarah, can't wait for your final show. Can't believe that a whole year has passed by since I was handing in my stuff for examination. Agree that the orange version is the stronger. Thanks for the ticket to the private view, and I'll see you soon. Love Cristina x
