out in a field somewhere

I like these, they're what I think Idaho or Nebraska might look like. And trying to entertain yourself when you're a kid and the scenery is kind of same-ish because you can't go further than you can ride your bicycle.

Oh, and wowzers, just as I was posting this, I saw my Threadless vote counter hit a clean 1,000! Not saying that they're positive votes, but that's a lot of people!

Well I don't know about Idaho...but It does look a lot like Ohio and Michigan farms with those gray skies.....

Yeah, or Iowa. I was kind of humming the Dar Williams 'Iowa' song while I was painting it, with brief thought flashes of Napoleon Dynamite. ;-)

Thanks! I've been on a bit of a roll, with the degree show coming up. Nothing like deadlines to get things going! :-)

These are adorable! To me it looks like California in the summertime. Yellow grass as far as the eye can see... The expressions on both the bird and the girl are lovely!

Hi, not sure if and when they'd get back to me, but the counter a few posts down says there have been 1,589 votes, with three days left for voting. The comments have been really positive, too, unlike my first submission, which was much more mixed.
