a cloud in trousers

This sketch is dedicated to the lovely iguanno, who gave me the idea from her post, where she holds up a beautiful old Mayakovsky book and quotes from this poem. (Here's the whole poem, and in Russian.) It reminded me of the fantastic Mayakovsky museum in Moscow, which displays gorgeous handmade revolutionary signs and the inside of the building is shaped like Tatlin's Monument to the Third International.

Oh! Then your boyfriend is lovely, too! I guess I mean lovely in an all-round sense, I love the look and textures of your work. ;-D

Cool! I get it after checking out the poem (English translation!) Like the shoes. NICE work with the lettering too.

Thanks! Oh, I just saw an article in today's Guardian G2, about how stag beetles are all the rage as pets right now.
