Hey look, I have an interview in Ireland's Inis (pronounced 'IN-ish') magazine with Cethan Leahy, including a piece of brand-new picture book artwork no one's seen before! Click here to read...

Thanks to the Irish book community for being so supportive of my work! I'm looking forward to a week in Ireland this May, where Children's Laureate Niamh Sharkey, French picture book man and sculptor extraordinaire Hervé Tullet and I will be running gloriously amok. More news about that later!

Do kids often comment on your fabulous clothes? I wear a lot of vintagy things as well, and (though I haven't yet graduated to book events and just occasionally help in my mother's class), just jeans, knitted jumper (from a 60s pattern, but not overly dated) and cloche when helping out on a school zoo trip is enough to spawn countless questions about 'why do I dress so old fashioned?' =P It certainly makes you memorable, and I agree that it's a great way to combat shyness (so is red lippy =P)
