dental drama!

Here's my guest comic for Raina Telgemeier's weekly SMILE strip!

I just saw the film 'La Vie en Rose', and I was a little smitten with Edith Piaf (and Marion Cotillard, who plays her). Here's a tribute clip to the original Piaf:

I enjoyed that one-pager, Sarah! You and your sister both came out looking great. Me, I kept my vampire teeth. Every now and then someone notices. Usually it's kids who notice.

Oh! I wish I'd known to look!!! :-D

I've still got my bottom retainer wire glued in, after 16 years. The orthodontist said to let it fall out by itself, but I don't think it's going to, ever. That's some serious glue. Maybe it was invented by NASA. (Space chops, that sounds good.)

16 years??
I don't know how those wires work, but it seems like something you should have removed. Does it bother you at all?

Re: 16 years??
No, I'm sure it would feel more odd without it! It keeps my shifty teeth in place, at any rate...

So, were you born with fangs or was it the result of orthodontic trauma? :-D

Re: 16 years??
I was just born with them. I have other weird things, like a tooth that came in backwards. But it never bothered me, so I avoided the orthodonist entirely.
