london window shopping

Stuart and I didn't do much Christmas shopping this year, but we went into the centre today to have a look at the lights and see some paintings and have tea and all those thing people do when they're being lazy in a constructive kind of lazy way. Some parts of the shopping district were heaving, but most of it was fairly quiet. We got two big trays of sushi at the Japan Centre for £5 and had a picnic on Berkeley Square. (Relevant theme song to make the photos more atmospheric)

It seems like I'll want to plan a Christmastime London visit one day! The city looks so cute. :)

What's with the clown shoes in the first picture?! Is that a new trend?

Doesn't London look great! :-D

The red things are felt slippers! I saw a newspaper article showing how to make them myself and I really want to try it. Only three pieces and some stitching! But I must track down some thick felt first, and something for the base. Hmm.

You weren't fingerprinted and detained for taking piccies of the US Embassy then? I like the teapot photies at the end.

Only detained for a couple hours! They made us get on scaffolding and polish that ugly big eagle on the front, but we bribed them with mince pies and they let us go.
