buxom foxes

The last thing I drew was a bit heavy, so here's a nice frothy one.

Anyone good at storyboarding? This jobbie looked like it could be interesting.
I finally registered for Verla Kay's message boards for chidren's writers and illustrators. Another writer said she'd found it very useful, so that's another one for me to explore when I get a moment.

Thanks! They started to look a little heavy being patterned like that so I let it fade out.

Still really liking your guacamole! I make big batches and have it on Ryvita almost every lunch time.

Another Beautiful illustration, Sarah!

A lot of the students I teach are drawing foxes lately. I think they are the new "hot" animal. Octopus, your days are numbered.

Also: Check out this cute fox comic by two teenage sisters who live somewhere in the Seattle area.... (They appeared at the Library's Comicstravaganza....)

Oooh! Yea! I am pretty sure that's being animated in the UK somewhere. I tried to figure out what studio was doing it a while ago so that I could make a (probably hopeless) attempt at somehow working in the art department.

Hey thanks, I didn't even know about that film. It has Bill Murray in it, how cool. Except I assumed everyone would have thick west country accents or something, but maybe not.

awesomely cute!
i may sign up for that board too-- i've never done anything children's book related but i'm beginning to think i could fit in there somewhat nicely.maybe if you wouldn't mind, i can email you and pick your brain about it? i don't know too many people right now who are in that field/interested in it... :)

Sure! I'm sarah at jabberworks dot co dot uk. If you can write your own book as well as illustrate it, you have it made. They're always choc-a-bloc with illustrators but not so many good stories.
