more DFC revealed!

Most intriguing! trypanocorax just e-mailed to say there's an in-depth discussion of the upcoming DFC, or David Fickling Comic, on today's BBC Radio 4 'You and Yours' programme. (Listen Again here to the Friday broadcast, between the 14.30 and 27 minute markers.) Includes interviews with Philip Pullman, publisher David Fickling and comics artist John Aggs.

I also notice the DFC have posted some sneak preview strips. Garen Ewing also has a few words to say about it. Don't for one moment imagine my own continued close scrutiny of everything DFC means I have a vested interest in all this. In the words of the BBC's great Francis Urquhart: You might very well think that; I couldn't possibly comment. ...Let's see what happens!

Oooh, my friend Nelson told me about this. He told me I should submit something but I never got round to it, I'm hoping to see some of his work in there...

Also I like this one about, what is it... Vern and Lettuce? I wonder who made it.

There's another R4 interview with Philip Pullman on Sunday's 'Go 4 It' - but actually I wonder if it will be the same interview.

Cute boingy rabbits!

Hey, thanks! I doubt it will be exactly the same interview, because You & Yours focuses quite a lot on the business risk side of things.

I'm guessing it will be a heavily cut-down version, reusing some of the feedback from the kids but with a more hyperactive presenter. Like one of those rabbits who's drunk three glasses of Sunny Delight.

Like one of your rabbits, perchance?

You're right - I've just listened to it, so it will probably be different material. Quite good, I thought - I keep learning more and more about this DFC thingy!
