the morning tank-up

While I was listening to the Today programme on Radio 4 this morning, I heard Judith Kerr and Michael Rosen giving another plug for the DFC comic. Cool. The first issue arrives in the post in eight days!

I feel bad for poor Jiff down at the Beehive coffee shop in Greenwich. Illustrating is a very solitary job but I'm quite a chatty person. Yesterday I didn't get out till the evening and some poor guy at Central Saint Martins had to listen to me unload a day's worth of chatter all in the course of one drink. So today I pledged to get out on my bicycle in the morning and Jeff the Australian barrista got doused with the waterfall of words. He is very good natured about it, but he can't really escape either.

I have just started working at a woolshop, and it is called the Beehive :-P
Hey, I was thinking, someday would you like to do a swap? I could send you some of my knitting, and you could send me some of your art? I could make you something small & mailable, like socks, or fingerless gloves or a toque(aka beanie) or such.
