poor derek

This picture is for fellow DFC contributor Gary Northfield, who is feeling under the weather.

It started out as an innocent get well card, but I got a bad case of the giggles when Vern started looking like he was enjoying his ministering angel role a bit too much, and I wasn't sure into which end of Derek he'd just stuck the thermometer.
...Get well soon, Gary! Derek can't take too much more of this.

And please come see Gary, me, John Aggs, Patrice Aggs, Adam Brockbank, David Ashford, Steve Holland and David Roach give a panel talk at the ICA on 23 November. Book your tickets here! I am actually quite nervous about it, so please come be a friendly face and help me stagger to the ICA refreshment unit afterward.

...Unless, of course, you are going to the SCBWI Writers & Illustrators conference that same weekend in Winchester, 22-23 Nov, where I'm doing a workshop on Saturday with Layn Marlow on picture book layout, and my lovely DFC editor Ben Sharpe is also speaking on a panel. (If you haven't signed up for at least one of these two things, what on earth are you possibly doing?)
Book here!
