pre-1980's shoulder pads

Okay, so today's morning sketch is kind of random. I saw this picture of a Russian officer with fluffy epaulettes and thought, that's what I'll draw today. I should've made them even fluffier. ...Feel free to challenge me with your drawing of the world's fluffiest epaulettes.

I'm just at the tail end of finishing a picture book, lots of little odds and ends to complete. Hopefully I'll be able to walk the artwork into the Scholastic offices today! Fingers crossed.

Thanks, Journalista, Forbidden Planet and Steve Holland for recent links.

Edit: And oh my goodness! Someone named Barnaby Gunning has set up a blog called Save the DFC! Thanks, Jim Medway, for pointing that out. Yes, indeed, the DFC is worth saving!
