We were a bit disappointed because the choir turned out to be the choir of all adults, without any of the little boy sopranos that raise the rafters with their haunting high notes. But the female sopranos did the job well, and the music still raised goosebumps. The acoustics in there are amazing; notes spend a good eight seconds reverberating down the nave and up into the dome before they die away.
Here's a related video we play every so often in the studio. Gary is mad on birds - he can hear a blue tit outside even if the music's turned up - and we like a good singalong, so this song is right up our street.

Don't forget, this Saturday is the London Comic and Small Press Expo! It's very conveniently (for us) just down the road from our studio, at Goldsmith's University, and it will be a great place to stock up on affordable indie comics and handmade books, and to meet the creators. Loads of people are exhibiting, it should be fabulous! Come along to see Ellen Lindner, Gary Northfield and me at the Fleece Station's table. I'll have copies of the Birdsong anthology, Vern and Lettuce, some Vern and Lettuce badges, Gary will have his Bad Dog newspaper comic, Ellen will be selling the latest issue of Whores of Mensa (I did two pages in it) and related WoM merchandise, The Comix Reader and her graphic novel Undertow.
