a little alpaca advert

Fancy some alpaca wool? I was going to get my Stitch London studio mate Lauren O'Farrell to post this for her knitters, but she's too wrapped up in crafting her giant Stitched Solar System for the Science Museum, so here's a woolly little interlude for my regular blog readers.

I met these two Dartmoor alpacas last month; they were most snooty in their relations toward me but I eyed up their fine woolly backsides and noted some excellent material for knitting and felting. And funnily enough, their owner, one Sarah Reeve, has four big bags of alpaca wool which she would be happy to send out into the world for such craft purposes.

Here's the deal:
4 bags full of unwashed shearings of two alpacas (Iggie is ginger coloured and Alfie is white):
1 bag best saddle wool in ginger: £20 plus postage
1 bag best saddle wool in white: £20 plus postage
1 bag of the remainder of the wool (good for felting) in ginger: £10 plus postage
1 bag of the remainder in white: £10 plus postage

If you'd like to buy one or more of the bags, please send me an e-mail at sarah at jabberworks dot co dot uk and I'll put you in touch with Iggie & Alfie's owner, Sarah Reeve.

You can see Iggie and Alfie five minutes into this video:
