when we were small

Emirates Festival of Literature in Dubai has just announced their line-up for 2014 and asked us to come up with a video. Since Philip was in town for events, we had fun making it at recognisable London locations.

The festival theme is 'Metamorphosis' and we were asked to comment on 'why you believe literary festivals are an important part of the cultural landscape of a city'. Our entry is very high-brow and serious. Here's the festival's Great Reveal video, which they showed at a big banquet last night (our bit's right at the end):

And here's the whole, uncut version. As Philip just tweeted, it contains an 'Impressive Desert Sequence':

Really looking forward to the festival, where we'll be introducing children to Oliver and the Seawigs, There's a Shark in the Bath, GOBLINS and You Can't Scare a Princess!. Thanks for inviting us, Emirates Lit Fest! You can follow them on Twitter at @EmiratesLitFest.
