hourly comic day 2015

To find out more about #HourlyComicDay, click here to read my previous post! The idea wasn't to make a perfectly drawn comic, just to get the whole thing out in a day. It's scrappy, but I made up the story as I went along and thought the story element of it came out quite well. I like the parallels to the actual day I was having, at my studio in an old police station and a visit to the tailor. (Oh, and I should add, my picture book Dinosaur Police launches with Scholastic UK this spring.)

Thanks for reading! Here are some peeks at my upcoming picture book. I spent a little bit longer colouring this one. (Yes, there doughnuts in this picture, too):

Sneaky! I thought you'd REALLY changed jobs. I'm so gullible.

The comic's strangely auto-bio despite being about dinosaur police! I spent most of the day working in my studio in the Old Police Station and I even visited the tailor. (Here she is!)

I think perhaps this is the first year that any kids under 12 took the challenge! Here's 7-year-old Lucy, who kept it up all day, and Zoe Toft's kid also took part! Bravo, guys. xx
