Happy birthday, Audrey Niffenegger! Audrey taught me how to do etching in her studio in Chicago last summer and I don't have etching facilities here so I tried to fake something that sort of looks like an etching with aquatint.

Wow! Aquatint. I just learned about it .. we were looking at the Goya etchings at the art museum and Noel, who took classes, told me how it's done.

I had so much fun trying it! But I'd have to hire space in an etching studio to do some more of it; there's no way I'd get an acid bath in this studio. :)
