#portraitchallenge: fath-ali shah qajar

Today's #PortraitChallenge, over from @StudioTeaBreak on Twitter! Here's the original painting from 1798, and a bit more about the Shah, who apparently holds second place in the man with the most wives ever (that has been reliably recorded). He was also very vain about his beard and his tiny wasp-like waist. An interesting historical figure, and I suspect we wouldn't have got along well.
