arundel castle

Today Stuart and I took the train out to Arundel Castle in West Sussex with our friend Kim and three of her American friends, who were all good fun. (Kim's the good friend I mentioned in an earlier post, for being such a backbone in the start of my career as an illustrator.) As we walked into town, she was very happy to see the first bookshop we came across was named after her. The castle was gorgeous - really amazing rooms - and a great day out.

Tagged: Sue Eves just tagged me. Apparently these are the rules of this tagging:

1. Pick up the nearest book.
2. Open to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people and post a comment to Sue's Blog once you've posted your three sentences.

My nearest book is a comics reference book that a comics buddy named Simon gave me, originally named 'The Comic Book' by Paul Sassienie. On page 123, sentences 6-9 read:
DeVito plays the Penguin as a sinister homicidal maniac on one level, and on another successfully portrays him as a lonely frustrated outcast, unable to live a normal life due to his grotesque appearance. Pfeiffer is slinky and sexy in the role of Catwoman, who, like The Penguin, is not an unsympathetic character. She has genuine grievances with her boss Max Shreck, who is the epitome of a male chauvinist pig, and whose only redeeming quality is his love for his son.

Okay, I'm tagging fuzzillo, manuelap, tozocomic, seanazz, and cordial_kitten. You're 'it'!
