Happy 20th birthday, Mortal Engines!

It's been 20 years since publication of Philip Reeve's first novel, Mortal Engines, so here's a little Traction City graphic of my own to celebrate, with the well-known opening line. You'll be able to read more about it on Philip's blog. His work was first discovered by editor Liz Cross, while she was working at Scholastic, and she went on to work at Oxford University Press, where she published our joint books. Now Liz works at David Fickling Books, which publish Philip's new Utterly Dark book, so she's been right at the heart of everything.
